Sangwoo Shin
Hello! I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, advised by Professor Josiah Hanna. Previously, I received my M.S. and B.S. degrees from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea. During my M.S., I was a member of the CSI-Agent Group, advised by Professor Honguk Woo.
My research focuses on sim-to-real transfer, with a particular interest in system identification. I am also interested in learning approaches that embed physical rules into world-model generation, and in how such physics-grounded representations can be encoded for model-based reinforcement learning.
